Freelance Comics by PeterParkerPA
Freelance Comics
Growing up, one of my favorite video games was the point-and-click adventure known as "Sam and Max Hit the Road." This design is inspired by that with tones from a famous Batman comic book cover.

Back to 20XX by PeterParkerPA
Back to 20XX

I’ve got a lot of love in my heart for Mega Man (Rockman to you purists) and a dream of hoverboards in 2015 that can’t be sustained.

Long story short, this mashup was kind of inevitable.

This essentially reimagines Mega Man as Marty McFly and his faithful robot canine, Rush, with an added ability to travel through time. We all remember the Rush Coil, Rush Jet, and Rush Marine, right? Think of this as the Rush-lorean.

Using the Rush Marine tool as the main inspiration, I gave the normally-jagged Delorean a dome-shaped body and kept the ribbed seat from the Rush Marine in tact. A puffy orange vest and slightly raised helmet gave me the perfect Mega McFly.

“Mega Man 3″ was the first title in the series I ever played, so I’m really excited to finish this.

Love it? Get it on stuff here: society6.com/peterparkerpa/bac…

Agents of H.Y.R.U.L.E. by PeterParkerPA
Agents of H.Y.R.U.L.E.

What if Link and Zelda were a badass part of the Marvel universe instead of the Nintendo one? I think their gear would look a little like this.

This is obviously a mashup of the Hylian Shield iconography and the sharp, stoic bird that represents the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. At play here is a switch of the bird to Link’s Loftwing, replacing the very plain shield in the bird’s chest with a representation of the Hylian Shield itself, and the iconic three hearts that Link begins many quests with replacing the single bullet point at 10 o’clock on most representations of the S.H.I.E.L.D. logo.

The periods are also replaced by rupees in the name at the bottom.

I’m pleased with this one for a number of reasons. Namely, I finished it in three days and used Illustrator rather than Photoshop to deliver a final product. Working with the vectors for this was much easier in that program, and syncing up font faces and other elements became a breeze after a while.

You can buy it on things, too. Black printed logo is here: society6.com/PeterParkerPA/Age… ; and white printed logo is here: society6.com/PeterParkerPA/Age…

It's been a while since a while since I've posted anything, napkin art or otherwise, so I figure it's time to let you all know I'm not dead.

No, I haven't stopped doing napkins for the kids (in fact, John just hit #100 the other day!) or stopped designing other things, but I have taken some of the time that I would have used for posting on deviantArt to create some new social networks for my work.

In order to reach a greater audience and have an avenue to share and giveaway some in-progress art and finished designs, I have created a Facebook page, a Google+ page, and revamped my Tumblr account. Each will, admittedly (and unfortunately for any of you who follow me solely on DA), be updated with greater frequency, thanks mostly to the utilitarian share functions of my Instagram account.

I will begin to post my napkins again soon, but in the meantime, feel free to follow any of my new or updated accounts, in addition to my Twitter account.

I will be running contests for t-shirts, prints and other items, so if you enjoy my stuff, please be sure to follow and enter. What's the old saying? "You can't win if you don't try"? Yeah, that sounds about right.
Infinity and Beyond: Starbound's Sandbox is Truly Galactic or Grand Theft Furniture: San Galaxia

Chucklefish, the indie creators of PC-based "Starbound," makes no reservations about what to expect when playing the beta version of their first-ever game.

"WARNING: EARLY BETA. BUGS/CRASHES/CHARACTER WIPES EXPECTED."
Half of the fun and frustration in digging (or should I say matter manipulating) my way through the galaxies-wide sandbox game is discovering whether what I had built, earned, or stolen would be there in the morning.
