Infinity and Beyond: Starbound's Sandbox is Truly Galactic or Grand Theft Furniture: San Galaxia
Chucklefish, the indie creators of PC-based "Starbound," makes no reservations about what to expect when playing the beta version of their first-ever game.
"WARNING: EARLY BETA. BUGS/CRASHES/CHARACTER WIPES EXPECTED."
Half of the fun and frustration in digging (or should I say matter manipulating) my way through the galaxies-wide sandbox game is discovering whether what I had built, earned, or stolen would be there in the morning.

It's been a while...
It's been a while since a while since I've posted anything, napkin art or otherwise, so I figure it's time to let you all know I'm not dead.
No, I haven't stopped doing napkins for the kids (in fact, John just hit #100 the other day!) or stopped designing other things, but I have taken some of the time that I would have used for posting on deviantArt to create some new social networks for my work.
In order to reach a greater audience and have an avenue to share and giveaway some in-progress art and finished designs, I have created a Facebook page, a Google+ page, and revamped my Tumblr account. Each will, admittedly (and unfortunately for a
Napkin Art vs. NapkinArt: A Series for Each Child
What's good for the goose is good for the gander, right? I think that works in this case.
Regardless, I figured the differentiation between my two Napkin Art titles on DeviantArt was overdue. You see, it was easy to keep track of napkins when I was simply drawing them for one kid, but when my son started Pre-K this fall, I needed a way to differentiate the two. After all, having two #1 napkin posts wouldn't make very much sense, would it?
Since starting school in September with a BMO Pre-K video game, John has challenged me to bring everyday items to life and draw Spider-man in at least half a dozen different ways. The exciting thing about dr
Holy nuts! 6,000 Overall Favorites!
I can't believe something as simple as napkin art has garnered more than 6,000 favorites on this account.
(Why am I recognizing 6,000 and not 5,000, you ask? I was busy making napkins, that's why!)
Anyway, napkin art (in real time) passes 200 entries this week. It's a crazy feat but one I'm proud of.
Napkin art hasn't just made my daughter, her classmates and teachers, and even some of my co-workers smile. It's something that restored in me a confidence to share my art - in all its forms - that had been shaken by two years of formal art education.
Thanks for all the love you've shared through the click of a mouse. It truly means a lot to
About the Napkin Art Series
Each of the "Napkin Art #" pieces in my gallery are daily pieces of napkin art for my now-9-year-old. They're a hit at lunchtime!
I'm updating these from when I started in April 2012 for my little girl. They're essentially driven by her interests on the day I make them.
She has varied interests, although My Little Pony has dominated the napkins of late, that'll turn around. There are some fun mashups coming along the way as well.
Please enjoy.
